AYMAN AL-ZAWAHIRI AND AL QAEDA

 

Below we have posted the Combined Alignment Chart (CAC) of Osama bin Laden’s chief deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri (June 19, 1951 Giza, Egypt) and Al Qaeda, this time in eight different renderings showing the combined planetary geometry and important interaspects in both the geocentric and heliocentric dimensions.  Once again we will start with the combined geometry in both dimensions.  Like Osama, Zawahiri has combined Grand Trines with Al Qaeda, but in his case, only two.  They are, however, quite powerful, being formed by his own natal heliocentric Venus-Uranus trine in alignment with Al Qaeda’s Mars-Pluto trine, with the organization’s Mars and Pluto trine his Uranus and trine/conjunct his Venus, respectively.  The Pluto-Venus conjunction is a Golden Linkage and the linchpin of the configuration.  For synastry between a combatant organization and one of its principals, the Mars-Venus linkage symbolizes the ability to fight (Mars) together successfully for victory (Venus), while the Venus-Pluto linkage symbolizes empowerment (Pluto) for victory (Venus).  The Pluto-Uranus linkage is trans-dimensional, and in this context as in the Al Qaeda-bin Laden CAC symbolizes massive political (both Uranus symbolisms) power (Pluto).  There is, however, a much more dominant turbulent combined geometric pattern in this CAC.

 

In the geocentric CAC alone there are five combined T-squares, while in helio there are seven more, plus one such configuration natally in Zawahiri’s chart, together forming a multiply conjuncted combined Grand Cross.  Being discreet unto themselves, the geocentric T-squares are in fact entirely turbulent, as is one of those in helio.  However, the helio Grand Cross configuration is a bit more complicated.   While it’s true that any given Grand Cross is comprised of four inter-connected T-Squares, it’s actually less problematic than a T-square because there are more opportunities for positive transits to its component planets relative to the turbulent transits.  And Zawahiri’s association with Al Qaeda has provided him with power and influence that he almost certainly would not have acquired otherwise.  That he’s thrived within an organization with which he has so much energetic friction is likely because his interaction with it mirrors his own internal dynamic as shown in the T-square in his nativity – a heliocentric opposition of Jupiter and Saturn squared by Chiron. 

 

Remember what we said about the innately conflicting nature of Jupiter and Saturn in the section on Al Qaeda’s birth chart, and the consequent totally conflicted character of their midpoint, which in Ayman’s chart is conjunct Chiron, ruler of, among other things, life and death.  With this T-square, he doesn’t really need any others, but by signing on with Al Qaeda, he’s acquired them anyway.  He’s chosen to live his life for this battle, and he’ll die a casualty of it one way or another.  The chart didn’t make the choice for him, but it did make it easier for him to make it for himself than it would be for many others.  And the chart once again tells us with which side in the battle he would be inclined (although again, not compelled) to cast his lot – his Sun is square Saturn, and neither his Sun nor his Earth is aspected by Jupiter. 

 

Al Qaeda’s Saturn-Uranus conjunction opposes Zawahiri’s Sun and squares his Saturn, forming two of the dozen combined configurations of this type.  Al Qaeda’s Venus-Neptune-Mars T-square aspecting his Jupiter-Uranus square forms the other three in geocentric.  The complex helio Grand Cross includes both a Nuclear (Saturn-Jupiter) and a Heartbreak (Saturn-Chiron) clash, mirroring and connecting to these internal aspects in Ayman’s natal T-square.  In addition to all this, Al Qaeda’s helio Venus-Neptune square forms yet another stand-alone T-square with his Uranus.  What makes it all workable is that both the person and the organization thrive on turbulence, and that is what binds them together, along with enough strong, positive linkages in addition to the combined Grand Trines to soothe the friction with lubrication. 

 

The Uranus-Pluto linkage, as noted above, is both trans-dimensional and bi-level in geo, as it is with Osama and Al Qaeda, and this brings with it heady political (Uranus) power (Pluto).  In addition to the Venus-Pluto Golden Linkage, Al Qaeda’s geocentric Pluto quincunx Zawahiri’s Jupiter forms another, while the Venus-Uranus conjunction is a Silver Linkage.  The geocentric Venus-Jupiter parallel provides fidelity, but not without intrigue, thanks to the square of the same bodies.   His Earth-Chiron conjunction conjunct Al Qaeda’s Saturn-Uranus conjunction establishes that the individual (the Earth-Chiron party) is subordinate to the organization (the Saturn party; in this connection, Uranus serves mostly to make the arrangement palatable to Ayman). 

 

Zawahiri’s own chart lacks the visual impact of Osama’s Grand Kite, but packs a lot of power nevertheless; it’s just less obvious because the bulk of it is concentrated in a Sun-Mercury-Mars-Uranus-Pluto quintuple-parallel at extreme declination.  Yet this massively powerful configuration actually serves to cement for good and all Al Qaeda’s primacy over Ayman, and his corresponding servitude to the network.  How so?  Check out the contra-parallel interaspects that its Saturn makes to all five of his exdek planets.  These are Saturn Clashes, and the passive (i.e., non-Saturn) party to such clashes always comes off second best and is subject to being controlled by the Saturn party. 

 

So how can such a strong individual stand this?  There are four Saturn Clashes in his favor in the longitudes of both dimensions that bring a measure of balance in this respect, although the organization still has Saturn Dominance overall.  Also, Al Qaeda’s Uranus makes the same contra-parallel interaspect as Saturn with all five of his exdek planets, and its Neptune forms it with his Sun and Mercury.  All of these contra-parallels are linkages because they don’t involve Saturn.  Succumbing to the allure of these linkages in the presence of the Saturn Clashes can be likened to the passive party accepting thirty pieces of silver for his soul.  Having joined Al Qaeda under these terms, Zawahiri belongs thereto not just in the sense of membership, but also in the sense of property, even though there is a substantial measure of reciprocity.  Given his vicious, al-consuming ultra-sectarian fanaticism, that may suit him just fine, but the downside of that may become apparent even to him when the inevitable fate of the group becomes his own.
